TREATMENT AND REHABILITATION

Care Based on Your Injury and Work Demands

Depending on your examination, functional limitations, and job requirements, your treatment plan may combine hands-on care with rehabilitation and activity guidance.

CHIROPRACTIC CARE

Chiropractic treatment and appropriate mobilization techniques may help address joint restriction, pain, stiffness, and changes in movement following a collision.

ACTIVE RELEASE TECHNIQUES®

Soft-tissue treatment may address muscle tension, tenderness, and restrictions involving the neck, back, shoulders, and other areas affected by the collision.

CORRECTIVE EXERCISE

Individualized mobility, stabilization, strength, and motor-control exercises can help restore function and gradually increase tolerance for work, exercise, and daily activities.

Care may also include home-exercise recommendations, activity modification, periodic re-examinations, gradual progression toward work demands, and coordination with other healthcare professionals when appropriate.

RETURN-TO-WORK COORDINATION

When applicable, we may address:

  • Current work capacity

  • Temporary activity restrictions

  • Modified-duty options

  • Progress toward job demands

  • Barriers to recovery

  • Need for additional evaluation

  • Communication with authorized claim stakeholders

Work restrictions are based on clinical findings and functional limitations.

The goal of work-injury care is not simply to reduce symptoms. We also consider the physical demands of your job, functional limitations, and the steps needed to help you progress toward safe and sustainable work activity.

"Dr. Chan is great. I saw 3 other physical therapists prior over the years and none could help my knee. He diagnosed the issue in the first visit and had me feeling better almost right away. He puts in the work to stay on top of recent research and is willing to change his techniques if there is better evidence out there. I always feel I'm getting the best, most up to date care."
