COMFORTABLE CARE OPTIONS

Care Adapted to Pregnancy, Postpartum Recovery, and Your Preferences

Our providers are trained in the Webster Technique and experienced in adapting chiropractic care for pregnancy and postpartum recovery.

Webster Technique is a chiropractic approach that uses assessment and gentle treatment of the pelvis and surrounding soft tissues during pregnancy.

Positioning, treatment methods, and exercises are modified based on your stage of pregnancy, symptoms, comfort, and goals.

CHIROPRACTIC CARE

Gentle and lower-force techniques, modified positioning, and pregnancy-support cushions allow care to be adapted for comfort throughout pregnancy and postpartum recovery.

ACTIVE RELEASE TECHNIQUES®

Soft-tissue treatment may help address muscular tension and restrictions involving the back, hips, neck, shoulders, and other areas affected by changing physical demands.

CORRECTIVE EXERCISE

Individualized mobility, strength, and movement exercises can support daily activity, lifting and carrying, and a gradual return to exercise after delivery.

Your doctor will explain recommended procedures and alternatives before proceeding. You remain in control throughout the visit.

Care may also include activity recommendations, home strategies for comfort, guidance for lifting and carrying, and coordination with your obstetric, midwifery, pelvic-health, or other healthcare providers when appropriate.

POSTPARTUM CARE

Support for New Physical Demands

After delivery, parents often experience new demands related to:

  • Feeding positions

  • Carrying and lifting

  • Repeated bending

  • Sleep disruption

  • Car seats and strollers

  • Neck and upper-back strain

  • Wrist and hand complaints

  • Hip or low-back discomfort

  • Gradual return to exercise

Postpartum care may focus on mobility, activity progression, lifting mechanics, and return-to-exercise goals.

"Dr. Chan is great. I saw 3 other physical therapists prior over the years and none could help my knee. He diagnosed the issue in the first visit and had me feeling better almost right away. He puts in the work to stay on top of recent research and is willing to change his techniques if there is better evidence out there. I always feel I'm getting the best, most up to date care."
