Hands-On Care for Mobility, Comfort & Recovery

An Individualized Approach to Soft-Tissue Care

Soft-tissue treatment can address muscle tension, tenderness, mobility restrictions and other factors that may contribute to pain or difficulty with movement. Treatment is selected based on your examination findings, activities, comfort and goals.

Our doctors are trained in Active Release Techniques® (ART), which may be used alone or alongside chiropractic care and rehabilitation when appropriate.

Active Release Techniques® (ART)

ART is a patented, hands-on soft tissue therapy designed to locate and break down dense scar tissue and adhesions in muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia, and nerves. ART combines examination with targeted, hands-on treatment of muscles and other soft tissues. Because treatment is directed toward specific findings, ART can often be performed efficiently without prolonged work over a broad area.

What Soft-Tissue Treatment May Address

  • Muscle tightness and localized discomfort

  • Restricted or uncomfortable movement

  • Sports and activity-related complaints

  • Repetitive-use or overuse concerns

  • Soft-tissue components of spine and extremity problems

  • Movement and rehabilitation goals

Soft-tissue treatment is often one part of a broader plan. When appropriate, we may combine it with Chiropractic Care and Corrective Exercises to address mobility, strength and movement.

Helping your body move the way it was designed to- strong, fluid, and pain-free.

"Dr. Chan is great. I saw 3 other physical therapists prior over the years and none could help my knee. He diagnosed the issue in the first visit and had me feeling better almost right away. He puts in the work to stay on top of recent research and is willing to change his techniques if there is better evidence out there. I always feel I'm getting the best, most up to date care."
